Who is NOF Energy?
NOF Energy is a business development organisation for companies in the UK oil, gas, nuclear and offshore wind sectors. It was formed in 1989 as the Northern Offshore Federation before relaunching in 2006 as NOF Energy Ltd.
How is NOF Energy funded?
NOF Energy is a not-for-profit organisation. It is funded by membership subscriptions and other activities, with all surplus being reinvested into the business for the benefit of members.
NOF Energy receives public sector funding for various projects in the North East of England and UK-wide. These projects are focused on increasing the business opportunities available to our members and raising their profile internationally.
Who can join NOF Energy?
NOF Energy membership is available to companies that operate in the oil and gas, nuclear and/or renewable energy sectors. It is also open to organisations that provide goods, services and support to companies operating in these sectors.
Academic institutions and other membership bodies are eligible to join.
Membership is not available to individuals.
How much does it cost to join NOF Energy?
Membership subscription rates are based on turnover. Four subscription bands are operated for companies with a turnover of up to £500,000 to those with a turnover of more than £5 million.
Membership subscriptions are paid on an annual basis.
What do I get for my membership subscription?
NOF Energy members receive a variety of services and benefits for their subscription. This includes a range of free-to-access services as well as discounted rates on NOF Energy's chargeable services.
Can non-members use NOF Energy's services?
Non-members can access all of NOF Energy's chargeable services, including networking and events, marketing and media products, and international trade services. They will be charged a higher fee for these services than NOF Energy members (typically 50% or more).
They are not eligible to receive any of the services referred to as 'membership benefits'.
How can I login to the NOF Energy website?
You need a username and password to login to the NOF Energy website.
If you completed your entry for the NOF Energy Membership Directory 2009/10 online the username and password you created then will give you access to the NOF Energy website.

How do I use the members' forum?
Using the members' forum is easy. Simply login to the NOF Energy website and go to the members' forum page.
Here you can read and comment on all of the existing member posts - just click 'reply to this post' to add your comments to someone else's post.
To add your own post, click 'create a new topic' and complete the title and comment fields. Login to the members' forum at any time to view the comments made by other members about your post. You'll also be able to see how many times your post has been viewed by other users.

How do I use the noticeboard?
The noticeboard is a useful tool for tapping into the resource of the NOF Energy members. You can ask your fellow members for information, the answer to a question you're looking into or notify them of surplus supplies you want to pass on.
To add a notice, just login to the noticeboard page and click 'add a notice'. The notice will stay published until you remove it by clicking 'remove this notice'.
How can I update my company profile on the NOF Energy website?
If you'd like to make any changes to your company profile on the NOF Energy website please contact Luci Gray at lgray@nofenergy.co.uk
You will be asked to update your details once every year in the run up to the publication of our annual Membership Directory. These details will be updated on the NOF Energy website shortly after the publication of the print directory.
You're able to add a document to your profile to give users more information about your company and its services. This might be a service guide, product brochure or catalogue of your newest equipment. Simply go to the upload a document facility and follow the on-screen instructions to add your document. Please note that only one document can be added per company profile.
